Fire Stations

Access control systems can save money,
are more secure and are more convenient.

Fire station access control programs play a critical role in identifying firefighters and emergency personnel, helping them to perform their duties in the fastest, most efficient manner.

For fire departments, access control ID cards can be extremely important for identifying fire fighters and emergency responders, and for controlling access to fire stations. In emergency situations, identification cards can help those at the scene quickly recognize firefighters and other emergency personnel. This helps to speed up response time, and makes it easier for those in trouble to quickly find assistance.

Fire department access control ID cards can contain a variety of elements, including security features and personal information. Most fire identification badges will contain the cardholder's photo, name, signature, and department.

American Recovery

Use your American Recovery and Reinvestment Act Fire Station Construction Grants

In awarding ARRA funds, DHS prioritizes shovel-ready projects that infuse resources into local economies quickly while meeting critical security needs. DHS grant programs funded under ARRA will further strengthen the nation's ability to protect critical infrastructure facilities and transit systems and assist fire departments in improving their response capability/capacity and strengthening firefighter safety.

The purpose of the act is to create or save jobs in recession-hit areas and achieve other purposes stated in ARRA, and achieve AFG goals of firefighter safety and improved response capability/capacity based on need through the construction, renovation or modification of fire stations.

With technology moving at such a rapid pace, it's almost impossible to keep up

Our team of engineers are constantly researching every product related to fire station safety to insure we
have the latest, most up to date products available to our customers. Many old fire stations are also
historically-listed structures, introducing yet another challenge when installing modern technology.
In some instances, a separate system may be required at a site to restrict access only to individuals who are
involved in actual construction work. There are often other special requirements system integrators must satisfy before
being authorized to work in such fire station settings. Over the years, Millennium Group has developed a team of
specially-trained personnel for performing such sensitive installations.
